Mold spreads fast and harms your health. Our certified technicians find the source, safely eliminate the mold, and restore your air quality — with documentation for any insurance claim.

Safe, Thorough Mold Removal — Source to Surface

Mold is more than a cosmetic problem. It compromises your home's air quality, structural materials, and the health of everyone inside. And it spreads — into wall cavities, insulation, HVAC ducts, and beyond what's visible.

Five Point Restoration's IICRC certified technicians don't just treat what's visible. We identify the moisture source (because mold always has one), contain the affected area, safely remove all contaminated material, and restore the space to a healthy condition.

Signs You May Have a Mold Problem

  • Visible mold growth — any color (black, green, white, or gray)
  • Persistent musty smell, especially in basements or crawl spaces
  • Water stains, bubbling paint, or peeling wallpaper
  • Allergy symptoms that improve when you leave home
  • Recent water damage event — even one you thought was minor
  • Condensation problems on windows or pipes
  • Previous flooding or ongoing humidity issues

Our Mold Remediation Process

  1. 1

    Inspection & Moisture Mapping

We identify all affected areas including hidden mold inside walls and beneath flooring using professional equipment.

  2. 2

    Containment

Plastic sheeting and negative air pressure prevent mold spores from spreading to unaffected areas during removal.

  3. 3

    HEPA Air Filtration

Commercial air scrubbers with HEPA filters capture airborne spores throughout the remediation process.

  4. 4

    Removal & Disposal

Contaminated materials are safely bagged and removed. Structural surfaces are treated with antimicrobial agents.

  5. 5

    Moisture Source Fix

We address the underlying moisture problem — because treating mold without fixing the source means it comes back.

  6. 6

    Restoration & Air Testing

Repair affected materials and perform post-remediation verification to confirm the space is mold-free.

Mold Remediation FAQ

What are the signs of mold in my house? +
Visible patches (black, green, white, or gray), persistent musty smell, water stains, peeling paint, allergy symptoms that improve away from home, or any past water damage event — even minor ones.
Is mold dangerous to my health? +
Yes. Mold causes respiratory issues, allergic reactions, and eye and skin irritation. Some species produce mycotoxins that are more severely harmful. Children, elderly individuals, and those with compromised immune systems are at elevated risk.
How long does mold remediation take? +
Small contained areas can be addressed in 1–2 days. Widespread mold affecting multiple rooms or structural materials typically takes 3–5 days. Air quality testing afterward confirms clearance.
Will my insurance cover mold remediation? +
Coverage depends on the cause. Mold resulting from a covered event (burst pipe, storm damage) is usually covered. Mold from long-term neglect typically is not. We help document the cause and work with your adjuster.
Can I remove mold myself? +
Small surface patches under 10 sq ft can sometimes be DIY-treated. Anything inside walls, in HVAC systems, insulation, or over 10 sq ft requires professional remediation. DIY treatment frequently misses hidden mold and fails to address the moisture source — causing recurrence.
